From '04 Hale:
Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine structurally similar to cyclizine and meclizine. It produces significant CNS depression, anticholinergic side effects (drying) and antiemetic side effects. Hydroxyzine is largely metabolized to cetirizine (Zyrtec). No data are available on secretion inot breastmilk.
Lactation risk category L1--no reported concerns but observe for sedation, tachycardia, dry mouth.
Drug interactions: May reduce epinephrine vasopressor response. Increased sedation when used w/ CNS depressants. Increased anticholinergic side effects when admixed with other anticholinergics.
