I sent a letter to the girl scouts earlier this year when they severed their relationship with planned parenthood because some church reccomended people boycott the cookies because of it. I saw this on the Today show and was irritated that they'd rather sell a few more boxes of cookies than have "their" girls properly educated about their reproductive systems (That was the scope of the relationship - they did not discuss the more charged social issues) They just eliminated that meeting topic. Because, they know, NOT discussing these things with young women is better than having them educated. I don't have girls, if I did I don't think I could support this org. at all. First they can't tell them why they have breasts, now they can't use them properly when they grow up? Geezzz....
