Very faint line? Yes or No

Hi Mamas,

2 days ago I had the strangest experience. I felt a sensation low down in my stomuch a bit like a butterfly had landed there. Then I really strongly felt the presence of a small boy.

I checked my diary and discovered that AF was 4 days late, took a test this morning and there is a very faint line! We werent even ttc yet!

Does any line mean a positive test? How faint is too faint?

As the saying goes "A line is a line is a line", so congratulations!!!

I would test again in a couple of days. The line should be darker then. Good luck!

Yup, congrats! Any line is a line...unless you waited more than 10 minutes to check your test. In that case you definately need to test again

My mother, a midwife, would roll her eyes and say, "it's positive." My first line was so faint that you had to hold it in really good line to make it out.

Yep, I agree... a line is a line! False positives are much more rare than false negatives, so you are most likely PG. Last time I checked, (I've tested 3 times now!) my line was still light. It's still pretty early for us, but I am going to continue to make sure it gets darkers, just to be sure - since I can't get to midwife for a while...

Congratulations and welcome to May 2005 Due Date Club!
