Unfinished projects...

I have an issue. When I was a kid I'd crochet granny squares for afghans, and be all obsessed for like a week and then leave them unfinished. When I went back to crocheting, it'd be a new project. I have 3 1/2 done afghans in a box with a bunch of yarn that will probably never get finished.

Now I'm a grown up and you'd think I'd have, well, grown up. But I'm in the middle of a pair of longies that I don't exactly like, and it's taking forever for me to finish them because I just don't like them. I'm trying to force myself, but have already contemplated ways to just put them on a stitch holder so that I can have my circular needles back to work on a new pair with yarn I like...

Is this a disease? I was perfectly happy with the yarn when I started them... now I don't like them and want to start something new... I'm off work now and hope to have more time once I'm done catching up on sleep, but I need to actually finish what I start...

Oh, yeah it's a disease. I'd say I know more people with the disease than without. However, my husband is one of the few without it, and he seems to think *he's* normal and I drive *him* crazy...

I don't think you should finish those longies (unless you are already a couple of hours from it). For me, the only payoff for the time and effort of knitting is something I love in the end.

Good to know I'm not alone.

I am actually one leg away from finishing... and am determined to finish today as I feel like garbage and don't want to move too far away from the couch or computer anyhow.

The funny thing is is I've almost run out of yarn, so the legs are a little shorter than they should be... dh was worried about some yarn I bought with a little wee bit of pink in it for ds (new baby who's yet to arrive)... now that's the least of his worries, babe will be in capris before you know it

The afghans on the other hand will be in storage for quite some time... can't completely cure me in one day.

Well, it will probably be nice to have it done. Good luck and hope you feel better.

I wonder what it is that your dh thinks will happen to your son in his pink capris??? :LOL I doubt there will be permanent damage.

The longies are almost done... just a few rows on one leg and finishing off the ends... I actually wish that I had a digital camera to post pictures, because for all the griping, they're kinda cute.

And they're not made with the pink yarn from above... that I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with... it didn't look pink on our monitor when I ordered it. It's so little of it in the variagation that a baby boy could wear it (when dh isn't home anyhow )
