From the New York Daily News, Rush & Malloy, this oddly pro-bf slant:

I was floored by this. Weaning at five months is newsworthy? I personally don't like the tone of this, where a woman is being totally disrespected. But on the other hand I'm encouraged to see that a mainstream media outlet thinks breastfeeding past five months is simply the done thing. Such a strong pro-breastfeeding message. I do wish that the P.S. had included the fact that she could still have an occasional martini and she does not particularly have to watch what she eats. All in all I'm pretty excited by this!

| Similac-ing in judgment Who cares about the baby? Mommy wants a martini. Denise Richards has decided to stop breastfeeding Sam, her daughter with actor Charlie Sheen, after just five months. The buxom Playboy cover model explains that she put the baby on the bottle because she missed bottles of a different sort. "I felt like I was still pregnant," Richards told USA Today. "I still had to watch what I ate. I couldn't have a cocktail, which I was dying for after being pregnant nine months." P.S., Denise: Did ya know that the American Academy of Pediatricians says new moms should breastfeed for at least a year to help kids grow and fight disease? |

oh my.... another crappy celeb.
