Still no positive, but . . .

Hi all! For those who knew about my big wait to test on Sunday . . . well I kind of blew it and tested in the middle of the afternoon on Friday because my impatience got the best of me, and now I don't have anymore tests!!! Aaargh! So now I have to wait a few days, and I think I should do a first of the morning one. It's weird how I feel soooo pg, but still haven't got a +hpt. I'm all freaked that I don't have enough hcg to sustain a pregnancy. But like I said, I'm having serious symptoms, so if I'm not pg, then something is very wrong with me -- my abdomen is getting bigger, I'm nauseous (on and off), peeing all the time, heartburny, and generally just feel pg (not to mention its cd 51). So anyway, that's my story (bordering on a rant! ). Thanks for listening, and please tell me if you think I'm going crazy!

I don't know what could be going on but sending you s I have heard of women who didn't get a + until the 4th or 5th month so it is possible.

mommabear,
With DD I kept on getting BFN tests even though I was feeling very pregnant. My breasts were very tender and it was excruciating when DS nursed. This time the test came up positive much earlier and my breasts actually don't hurt as much when DD nurses. Go figure! I guess each pregnancy is different. My favourite PT, by the way is called Day 7 or maybe 7 Days, (for 7 days after conception or ovulation) it is a very bare bones test, you pee into a cup instead of on a stick and just rest the test stick in the cup for a couple of minutes. Its very environmentally friendly (much less packaging and plastic), and tests accurately a lot earlier than some of the other ones. If you have to go and buy a new test anyway, look for it. BTW, it includes 2 tests and is usually much cheaper! Good Luck - here's hoping for a BFP for you!

robugmom...i know that test. day seven and it sells 2 tests for 8.99 at london drugs. i used that one. frer apearrantly, although most ppls fav, has a rep of giving false faint +. i heard that clear blue easy is really good...but pretty expensive.

mommabear.....i have been wondering about you! cant wait till you get that bfp and can just rest and enjoy the pg.

like i said, a friend of mine doesnt test + till 4th month....so you arent alone on that. youll be fine have you considered a blood test??

day 51!!!how long are your cycles normally??

Thanks you guys for all of your encouragement!

LadyWulf -- that gives me hope! Did they test positive on blood tests though? I'll be sure to have one after my first mw app't, so hopefully it will clear up any confusion!

Robugmum -- It's reassuring to know other women have experienced 'delayed' +hpts. You are totally right -- each pg really is unique. Thanks for suggesting that test -- I think I need to try a new brand (I keep telling myself I just got a bad batch! ). And dh will be happy to know I could get cheaper ones too!

Jenn -- Thanks for your support! I was wondering what other tests might be available here -- I think I'll check out London Drugs. Re: the length of my cycles -- I normally have longish ones, typically around 33 to 36 days, a couple in the last few years were 29 days, but my longest one in recent memory was 41 days, and that was after ds weaned. So, yeah, even though I have long cycles 51 (and now 52!) days is pretty long!

Thanks again everyone!
