"Babies were born to be breastfed" on CNN.com's homepage

My dh always checks the headlines before work and when I got online this morning I noticed he left the CNN homepage up. A BIG pink banner across the top said "Babies were born to be breastfed" and had the ad council logo and linked to 4women.gov

I had to refresh 5 times to see it I think that is great that they are advertising that on their site!

I refreshed many times, but it never came up. I wonder if they are only running it in off-hours?

the link I was using was http://edition.cnn.com/ - its called the "international edition" - I wonder if there is a U.S. only version that would be running the ads, since the ads really only apply to the U.S.?

(nope, I just checked from the us home page - http://edition.cnn.com/US/ - same thing)

I just typed in www.cnn.com in my address bar see if that works and then refresh if you don't see it.

I also only got CNN ads.. I think it might sence that we are Canadians so it wont show us.

LOL! Yes, it may only be US ads... and it's luck of the draw since I think the advertising is rotating like here at MDC.

I saw that too. I did a double take. I'd gone on to CNN to check out the interest rates and was really (pleasantly) surprised by the ad. It's the first ad I've seen in this campaign.

It's funny I've never noticed the ads on CNN before. Just shows how your brain is attending to things even when you're not aware of it. Otherwise why would I have noticed it?

I saw the ad too but it was on my dh's website!!!

I was sooooooo excited to see it! He runs a movie related website, has banner ads at the top and sure enough the "Babies Were Meant to be Breastfed" ad is included.

Way to go CNN and way to go DH!
