Has anyone else felt MUY cruddy?

With my 1st preg I had like minimal morning sickness hardly any at all. This time I get it every afternoon from like 4:30 to 6. Then Tuesday I got REALLY sick, I think it was a bug but I'm just concerned because I threw up a lot (like a dozen or so times). Since I couldn't really eat anything for the last 2 days I'm just worried about how this is affecting Ernie the embryo and especially beacuse all I have been able to eat are saltines and jello...not exactly nourishing foods!

Anyone else had this problemo?

Yes!
I've been feeling yucky a lot. All the time. The other day it was until I went to bed.

This is my second pregnancy too. Last time, I was pretty sick. I thought it might be better this time, but it doesn't look like it. All I can think is another 5 weeks of feeling lousy!

anyway, lots of sympathy

Sorry you guys are down in the dumps. Ginger (tea or crystalized) helped immensly for nausea when I was pg with DS #1. But once i started puking, whoooooaaaaaa mamma! I just had to hold out until my stomach was empty.

Lots of s. Try little meals throughout the day, sips of juice (to keep your blood sugar up), and try to take it easy if at all possible.

Remember "This too shall pass..."

I look at it as a good sign I suppose Thanks for the suggestion for the tea. the midwife in my Dr's practice suggested jolly ranchers for nausea as well. They seem to help some, and hey, they taste good.

I am SO sick this time! I had pretty bad ms with my girls, but it didn't start till between 6-8 wks. I got super sick starting at 4 weeks this time. ugh. And I'm sick all day, all night. Waking up needing to puke in the middle of the night sucks- but I keep thinking that it's a good sign. I wonder if I feel worse because I'm chasing a 4yo and a 20 mo old this time around?

this time is awful. i have a vomit-phobia of sorts so this is really hard on me . i wake up wanting to throw up and it lasts pretty much all day. it's strongest in the afternoon. i don't actually throw up, though.

today was so bad. we were going to go out for dinner when i started to feel sick. i ended up curled on the couch, my stomach turning. i needed to eat, though. andy would mention a food and my throat would clench . finally i had some rice and tofu and i feel much better now.

the first time was nothing compared to this (or maybe i'm just imagining :LOL). i had some mild nausea but i don't remember it being this bad nor lasting this long.

I was VERY sick with #1 and had hyperemesis gravidarum, lost 15%+ of my body weight in just a few weeks. Awful.

The only two things that worked for me:
1. Diclectin -- over the counter, prescribed EVERYWHERE else in the world except for the US where they'd rather use more expensive, less tested, still-on-patent medications. This one is just 12.5mg Unisom + 25mg vitamin B6 and it's the only thing that got me to stop vomiting.

2. Gatorade. When I was in dire straits with threats of being admitted within the next 3 hours if I couldn't keep anything down, lemon lime gatorade was the only thing that would stay down and I managed to avoid the hospital.

Luckily, I'm not sick yet this time! I'm thinking it must be boy -- I have a mega-sensitivity to estrogen that might have caused the yucks with my daughter.

Me, too! I felt great the first PG. This one is a little more rough already, although its not too bad. Slight nausea and fatigue. Not much to complain about.

My empathy goes out to all who are worse off, but, like Brigette said, it is sort of reassuring!

I haven't been in your shoes, Brigette, but I have known many of mama who had ms pretty bad like you, and the docs always tell them its fine. I guess it just makes you want to eat more healty when you can actually keep stuff down!
