Timid Tiny Toddler

I love my nearly 2 year old tiny girl (5th percentile). She is smart, funny and deliciously sweet but incredibly timid. I would not necessarily call her shy...she takes lots of time to warm up. Charlotte finds it difficult to be around children who are bigger or louder than she.

My husband and I are supportive but encourage assertiveness. Any suggestions from more experienced moms?

I have a thread called Afraid of Children in the parenting section. My daughter is the same, so it must be a normal developmental issue for some children.

Lindsey was like that.. now she's 3, jumped up to between the 25th and 50th% (wow, that was a BIG change from 5-10%, let me tell you!) and gained some confidence.
