Monovalent MMR availability

Hi mamas! I've been lurking here lately. DD has been vaxed on schedule without too much thought by us until I discovered this community. Now, as you can imagine, i'm asking lots of questions! The one vax i've been long long afraid of is the MMR. Thanks to lots of threads here, i am feeling comfortable asking for separate vaxes for dd.

So, I called Hopewell pharmacy today & the pharmacist I spoke to said that right now they only have rubella available. However, he expects that to change within the next few weeks & have the measles vax available. I also spoke to a rep at merck (who wouldn't give me info without my name, address & phone number : ) who said all 3 are being produced. I'm sure production is not super-high since they've been working on the new super-vax but they're still doing it.

Thanks to you all for the great info. DD's 18 month checkup is friday & i feel so much better!

wow, i just found this post of mine. dd is getting ready for her 4 year old checkup! (((sniff))) she's still only had the 1 measles dose. I'm registering her for pre-k (NYC public system) & they want her vac records. i have a script from last april for the monovalent doses of rubella & mumps- any idea if the script is still good?

i don't know if the rx is still good...but i would suggest getting titres done, she might not need any shots at all!

Just bumping up to see if anyone knows if the measles vaccine is available in NYC at the moment. Not sure if I want to bug my ped for a prescription if it is out of stock.

I haven't checked since I posted this so it may have been updated:

I know my ped was out of the single mumps and said they would be until 2009. I didn't ask about any of the others though.
