Yupp we got the name ready. We know from u/s its a girl, so she will be called Dina Khadija. Dina is a Norwegian name, probably from the latein word for day or daybreak, and Khadija is an islamic name, the name of the Prophets first wife. We will use Khadija like every day. Dina is just a bonus

Nothing is set in stone, but we're thinking:
Saoirse (pronounced SEER-sha) Lillian
or
Liam Robert

We are expecting a boy, and havn't settled on anything yet. It is tormenting me, though. I'd really like to have a name figured out pretty soon!

We are having a problem with this one. My DD was easy. I picked out her name when I was 19 and DH liked it too. We came up with her middle name while in the hospital, it just sounded right .

So far we have Nicolas, Michael(DH's name, he's a Jr.) and Steven. Not sure where we will end up. It would be nice to have a couple of agreed upon choices before heading home from the hospital!

we decided on names pretty much right off the bat. if its a boy, he will be Arthur Tiemer, III. we will call him tiemer, pronounced TEAM-ER. if it is a girl, she will be ruby dorene. dorene is my mother and my middle name, but it is the name that my mother goes by.

We aren't a 100% on anything, but it's looking like Zena Margaret for a girl (Zena after my grandmother, Margaret publicly after my mil but privately after Meg in A Wrinkle in Time) and Charles Winter (family name in dh's family followed by what sounds like a family name but is really a pagan name for a December baby).

For a girl, we've chosen Aubree Jean, and for a boy, Julian. We havn't agreed on a boys middle name yet, though.

I'm having a boy for sure. His name is Cole Thomas. I hope it doesn't get too trendy. I hate trendy names. It goes well with Emma and Meg though.

Eli Joseph - it's a boy!

We've been in agreement on the boy's name since before I was pregnant. It will be Eivind, followed by DH's last name as a middle name and my last name as the baby's last name.

For a girl we are having more trouble. We thought we had it figured out, but I found that I had so many negative associations with the name my DH was pushing for, and he didn't like my alternative, so we kind of had to go back to the drawing board.

We're now thinking of Ebba. My sister-in-law thinks that's "too Swedish" though. I like it because it's kind of a spunky name, easy to prounounce but unusual here in the US. I'm definitely opposed to using names that are in the top 100 in either the US or Norway. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of great names there, it's just that I was SOOOOO glad not to have a common name when I was growing up. If I had been a boy I would have been an Erik, and there were THREE Eriks in my 3rd grade class. I always felt that I dodged a bullet by being born a girl!

Here in Norway Thomas and Emma are of the most trendy names you can find hehe.

We picked out ours before I was even pg -- Aidan...although dh thinks it should be spelled Aiden. He also thought Ian should be Ean, so I'm hoping to win this one, lol. Middle name will be Spencer so his initials will be "ASP" (like the snake ). My ds1 is "IMP" -- this is all dh's doing, I swear! :LOL

m~h~l: that's my one HUGE problem with Liam. It seems sooooooo popular. I really prefer originaly names. What do you guys think of Maxion? DH made it up (unfortunately to name a role-playing character)...

I really like Winter for a Yule baby. DH wouldn't go for it though. He never likes any of my 'hippy' suggestions!

We are having a boy and his name will be Owen Daniel. I think it goes well with the other names in our family (Ethan and Ainsley) and Daniel is DH's name! We decided the day we found out what we were having.

A girl will be Pia Noelle, Portia Noelle, or eh, maybe Amelia Noelle.

A boy will be Clinton Douglas.

(Disclaimer: If it doesn't seem to suit when the kiddo comes, we will have to come up with something else.)

Nope. Not even remotely. We've discussed it a bit, but really, nothing is really jumping out for either of us yet. We didn't have Nova's name until right before she was born though, so I figure we've got time.

It's nice hearing everyone else's choices! We are having a hard time even finding the time to look at lists and books, but everytime I hear a name in passing, I evaluate it! Looking for something interesting, but not too exotic. I'd like it to be a name that has some water symbolism (we already have names that are air/fire and earth with our other two children). We also don't know if it's a boy or girl.
