Nov/Dec 2003 October thread!! - Page 17

Awe, thank you for your kind words - now I feel much better (but still worried, ya know?)

Also, does anyone else have the problem of their child whacking their heads repeatedly into the mattress when going to sleep? She doesn't do it that often, but i find she does it when shes teething. That freaks me out, too. I think I have a weird child on my hands! lol

we made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we're finally in Michigan. i didn't get a chance to post before we left b//c DH took the computer apart too soon, lol.

it was a loooooong rough trip, but we did it, and we are here. and i love it already. today we went to a pumpkin farm, took a hay ride, checked out the petting zoo, carved a jack-o-lantern, etc. Sage didn't go trick or treating b/c she was sooooo pooped from everything else we did today, lol. but i did dress her up and take some pics, i'll post those soon.

Ah, it's so good to be somewhat settled. I haven't read anything yet, so i have to catch up....but we are starting a new thread tomorrow....(and i think we have some b-days coming up too )

goodnight!

Finally got meryem in for a 9 mo check up She's 17-14 but 75th %ile for length. Long-n-lean, like big bro. But we switched peds (ours moved), so we saw an NP we'd never met and she acted all concerned like meryem's too skinny. Whatevuh.

She now runs, and it's like those little lizards that they show running on their hind legs on nature shows--come on, you know which ones I mean, right? I think they run across water. Really funny. She will also steal sippy cups from anyone. Fun stuff.

Okay, so here's my question - is the November thread now going to be in the Toddler forum?

Noooooooo! How can they be toddlers already?!

Christy - Congratulations on the move! We're practically neighbors now! I'm on the other side of the lake from you (you aren't in the UP are you?).

Really? I've been told that my daughter is a toddler when she turns 1. Since they start walking (toddling) around. Hm. I'm confused.
Okay, I looked it up, and according to the dictionary, this is a toddler:

1. One who toddles, especially a young child learning to walk.
2. A size of clothing for children between the ages of about one and three years.

So, therefore, our children are toddlers this month, right? A toddler starts at age 1 and ends at age 3. From 3 on, they're no longer toddlers. I mean, if you think about it, do we call a 4 yr old a toddler? I know I don't.

Somebody please put me out of my confusion! :LOL

Christy, glad you made it ok!

I am in denial about having a toddler, even though Iris is walking quite a bit now!

My little babe weighs 25 lbs now... Smaller than her sister was at this age, amazingly enough!
So.....does that mean that we move the thread over to the Toddler forum? I am SO not ready for that.

My baby is so grown up- where did my newborn go?
Wow, that was depressing to wake up to...toddlers!! Ahhhhh
Guess there's really no point in denying the ineviatble though huh?

How did Halloween go for everyone who participates? My older 2 had a blast as always but poor Branden had another tooth come through so was not feeling too good...does anyone else's dc get a fever every single time a new tooth is about to come in? Poor Branden's cheeks get so red and hot and he spikes a fever every single time.
He did feel pretty good in the afternoon though, long enough to come to the mall with me and do some trick or treating there
Then, last night, my dh was sorting through the candy and Bran was crawling around in the midst of it all when somehow, Bran grabbed one of those "chocolate eye balls" and apparently popped the whole darn thing in his mouth, unbeknownst to us until CHOCOLATE started literally POURING out of his mouth!!! Can't leave that boy alone for even a millisecond! So, needless to say, we had a very hyper little boy last night :LOL

Christy-so glad the move went ok and you're getting settled
Have a great day all

I'm sorry if I made anyone depressed/sad for pointing out the toddler facts!

Aren't they "Tots" before their "Toddlers"?
I just refuse to believe that "Life with a babe" ends at 1yo!

Our halloween went well. Angelica slept through half the trick-or-treating. She was good for the awake part.
Jonathan did really well. He has been a little afraid since we started talking about halloween and I really had no clue what was gonna happen when we went out last night. After the first house he was so excited that someone gave him candy and it wasnt scarey.
Okay, gotta go find my babe! She crawled away.
