youngest is dsylexic. I have several reasons, and as his home teacher and former sub I am more convinced this is a possibility. I will be setting him up with the eye specialist as soon as I can drive again. I go back Oct 12th for my two week follow-up and hopefully will be released from the no driving bit.

We had thought dd had it years ago and it turned out she had "lazy eye" like her dad. Luckily hers got caught so she will not end up like Dad.

We start out there. I will NOT be using anything in this district for testing. (10 yrs of those folks was enough) and will pay for private. For those of you who have dyslexic kids what did they do testing wise?

I have been through the adhd testing and the many things with our autistic child ..not sure what to expect with this one..

Cerri. Dyslexia can come in many forms, right? I am sure you can find a local place or private person to test him and go from there.

I really just want to say, feel better.

No advice here, just good vibes coming your way.

T I'm just curious-- why is your child being dyslexic a confession at all? It's not like you did anything to make him dyslexic, it's certainly not your fault...

I know but with one

being austistic ( though vax induced/documented) and one with her dad's lazy eye I just feel like well its hard to put in words
does that make sense?

Oh. I kind of feel defective sometimes, because my son went to NICU and my daughter's got all kinds of issues too. I guess I feel like there's something wrong with me because I haven't produced a "perfect, healthy baby" yet. I understand where you're coming from.

It's okay, though. You didn't make your children the way they are, and you were given them for a good reason.
