What vitamins/nutrients are depleted....

when in the heat a lot? My dh is working asphalt this summer. He is outside in the 100 + degree heat shoveling 250 degree asphalt 14 hours a day. He has no appetite when he is hot, so he just drinks TONS of water during the day, and a really good supper. My question is what vitamins or other things can help him keep his body running?

I would think a really good multi vitamin would be enough.
It would be great if he would eat a little during the day tho...maybe just some fresh fruit ? His blood sugar levels could get wacky, sweating that much and not eating all day.

Watch the sodium and caffiene intake, and eat potassium rich foods.
