I really like this show too. I really hope that there isn't a dead child in the box, but I think we will probably find out soon enough, since it was floating in the lake at the end of the show. I love frazzledmom, I thought it was pretty funny that she actually went through with making the kids get out, it kind of reminded me of when parents say "stop or I'm gonna pull this car over," but she actually went through with it. Can't wait to see what happens next week.

I think if the kids were older I would not have disliked the leaving on the side of the road thing, kwim? My kids are 4&6 and well, the little one especially would have FREAKED if I did that. Still funny though that they went off and got themselves cookies~ :LOL
I feel so bad for frazzledmom as she gets zero help from her dh!

ok.. i will admit i love the show.. when i saw the previews i knew it was something i could get into.. and yes i have it reserved on my tv... so when it comes on i get the reminder...

i think everyone is hilarious.. Frazzled Mama is soo hilarious.. i feel for her though.. 4 kids under 6 and no help from dh.. and i jus love how she went off on the cop...

I also dont think its a body.. to darn predictable.. and you could tell from the end of the first episode that the guy with the dog is either a cop, P.I., or Fed..

now back to my life i go.. i hate laundry.. im glad im not the only one loving the show..

yes i noticed the baby was in the front seat backwards! ... i pointed that out to my dh ... we love the show though ... the 3 boys are probably how my boys will turn out

Not only was the baby in the front, but the carrier handle was up. A big no no. And she left the baby in the car when she went to find the boys. UGH!
I too hope there is no baby in the box. Scarey stuff!
I dog and the earring was funny. I love her daughter, she seems really great! I wonder what the guy is up to and if it relates to the box?
I couldn't beleive how much I looked forward to the show coming on, haven't felt that way about TV in awhile.

I really like this show- haven't watched the episode from last night, yet (TiVO'd it) but I can't wait. I don't usually watch any hour long shows unless they are interesting (to me) documentaries, but I like both DH and Lost- ABC has some great shows this season!

Help! I just saw it last night for the first time and need a bit of background - what's with the fire? measuring cup, etc? I'm assuming that Teri Hatcher started the fire or somehow was involved?

And, yeah, I was totally thinking dead child in the box as well *REALLY* hope not...

I love this show and so does dh! He was actually watching before me, i have seen the repeats. I love how smart the writting is and how different it is then all the other shows out there.

I also don't think it is a body. I am thinking the husband did something and the note was meant for him.

Teri's Hatcher's charachter was talking to the nosey lady in the grocery store who told her that Edie's (the slut) ds was spending the night at her house because she was having a gentleman visitor late into the night. So she heads over with the measuring cup to pretend to borrow something and block Edie from sleeping with the single guy across the street. She goes inside and hears Edie upstairs getting to know her gentleman friend in the Biblical sense. There were tons of candles burning in the living room and Teri sat down, bit into a chocolate and threw something over her shoulder, knocking over a candle and setting the drapes on fire. She tried to put them out with a pair of pants which also started on fire and she threw them into the room, spreading the fire. She ran out, leaving her pyrez cup behind.

BTW yesterday's epsiode will be on again Saturday at 10pm.

OK...in the first episode, Susan (Teri Hatcher) heard from one of the neighbors that Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) had sent her son to stay at a friend's overnight because she was having a man over for dinner, and her intention was to have her guest stay overnight. Susan knew that the guest was Mike, so she decided to try to crash Edie's "dinner party" to stop Edie from hooking up with Mike. She went to Edie's house with a measuring cup saying that she needed to borrow some ingredient, and when nobody answered her knock, she found that the door was open and let herself in. There were candles lit and clothes strewn all over the floor, and lots of um, background noise coming from upstairs. Susan managed to accidentally knock one of the candles into the drapes, and the place lit up. She ran out before anyone saw her, but in her hurry, she left her measuring cup behind.

Oh, and it turns out that the guy wasn't Mike after all.

Oh yeah! I watched the pilot repeat and then caught the new one on Sunday (thanks, TiVo!) and am hooked!! It's so quirky! My dh hasn't watched any of it but I bet he would like it too.

Justw anted to point out that yes the mama left the baby in the car while she looked for the boys but she did take the keys(don't know if she locked it or not) and only looked around the van area.
I'm sorry but her kids are bad as hell and deserved to be put out, they were conspiring agaist her(whispering to each other). I will oust myself as a bad mama. I use to threaten to put DS out all the time(out fo the house) and when one time he told "why do you say that you knwo you won't do anything". I picked him up and set him outside on the front porch closed the door and locked it. he stood there for about a minute thinking about what had happened and starting crying. I could see him through the kitchen window. Bad mommy bad mommy I know but I must admit the problems Iw as having with him seemed to resolve themselves after that.

So here is the ? DH and I have about the last episode:

If you really wanted to get rid of something (ie the thing in the box) and you decided to throw it into the lake or river or whatever, why would you wrap it all up in plastic? 1) It would probably have a really tough time sinking since air would be trapped in it (which it did) and 2) It would be a lot better preserved than if you just threw some rocks in it and dumped it in the water.

So do y'all think he really wanted to get rid of it, or what?

I think he wanted it to sink to the bottom, but forgot about the gases that build up from the decomposition of the body. DeadWife's Hubby needs to watch CSI.

Yea, but he dug the trunk up from under the pool, and it looked like it has been there for a while. A body would have decomposed already, and there would be no gasses...
