Hi everyone! I'm in my early 30's, with a just turned 3yo dd. We live in Maryland. DD is still nursing 7-9 times a day (!), cosleeping, and started montessori school in mornings this year. I'm SAH but still keep involved a bit in our family business. I've had several prior losses - 13 weeks, 23, and 28. We'll know if things are ok or not probably somewhere between 18 and 22 weeks. If things stay normal, I'm probably planning a vba2c home birth somewhere around June 14.

I've been on a big medieval mystery kick recently, my family think I'm an online research and shopping expert, and I'm a Tivo addict. DD really likes arts and crafts right now, and cooking. I'm also interested in alternative medicine and acupuncture and MDC, though I'm just back after a hiatus of a few months.

Hi! I'm Allison. I've been married to my sweetheart Eric for 9.5 years. We have 5 wonderful (most of the time) kids, ages almost 12, 9, almost 7, 4.5, and 2.5. I'm due June 11th, though it will probably be more like the 25th! We're planning our first (and last - no more babies ) homebirth. We'll meet with the midwives I'm hoping to use today.

I love to sew, and between that, and homeschooling, I don't have much time for anything else!

hey allison! i'm also "due" june 11th. we're gonna have a homebirth in our new house. i am so excited.

thanks for the well wishes, ladies! i am gonna go lay down and read and try to take a nap. i'm nervous.

i have a question. i was using clomid when i got pregnant, and we confirmed that 2 follicles released eggs when i o'ed. of course, our families know this (both are moms are way into pregnancy and women's health issues, so they got a total play by play on all the fert stuff) and several friends know it. now, i know it seems like there's a good chance of twins, but really, we were shocked to get pg at all. all our family and friends are really hoping for twins. they keep saying it. i am so annoyed. i keep saying we would be pleased as punch for a healthy baby. we'll find out at the sonogram today for sure if there is more than one in there. i'm pretty sure there is just the one. when we tell people (my mom especially) i KNOW she is gonna be dissappointed. it annoys me just thinking about it. so, what is a good way to handle that? i am so excited to be pregnant, and it's so disheartening to think people are gonna be sad that it's "only 1" baby. grr. maybe i'm just too moody.

my plan is to call and tell her everything is fine with the baby and i'll e-mail her sonogram pics and then try to get off the phone. if anyone says anything less than enthusiastic, i may be rude. i'm pregnant, people. leave me alone.
