Usually I post here when I am having problems with GD. Well, things are going well in my house and I thought I'd share on a more encouraging note! 
My dd's are 2 yrs and 3 months. My 2 yr old is usually very well behaved and well mannered, despite the fact that she is a very spirited child. Sometimes, I get looks from people in public because they think that I should be more in control.
But if she isn't bothering anyone, I see no need to stop her or keep her quiet. I'm here to guide her, not to control her.
We get along beautifully. When things are going so well, it's usually because I am at peace with myself and my life. I find that I have trouble with her when I haven't had a break. (I'm a SAHM). Then I lose patience, and the girls sense my frustration and start acting out. It has a domino effect. So DH comes home and I leave. Usually I go hiking or shopping or something...anything alone, really. And it works, it really does.
So, I guess this is just a little reminder to you mamas out there. Take some time for yourself. It does everyone a lot of good. Keep doing what you're doing!
