I have to take my baby back to the dr. today to have blood withdrawn because the foot stick blood sample showed elevated levels of lead.
We do have an older home, but no lead paint that I'm aware of.
Our pipes are all copper and plastic.
The only thing I can think of is that my dh is an airplane mechanic and diesel fuel still has some lead content and he does work around batteries.
Anyway, anyone here dealt with this? Did you find a cause? Did your children have to have treatment? If so, what kind?
Thanks...I'm cross posting in Life with a Babe and Real Life with a Toddler.

That, to me, is the hardest part of having children...watching them go through something scary and painful and not being able to do anything about it.
