I just foind this place today and I am so thoroughly impressed with the supportive & respectful tone of the posts that I have been reading.

I have 2 dd's, 5 1/2 and 34 months. DD attended PS last year for Kinder as well as her first preschool experience. We are looking forward to homeschooling for first grade. I have purchased the Oak Meadow curriculum although I am still very much in a phase of "homeschool exploration" : SO much information out there, not enough time to sift through everything. I want to take a very relaxed play based approach, dd figures if I'm not handing her "math worksheets" we're not doing homeschool that day

Welcome Gabby! This is a really neat place isnt it? Everyone here is very helpful. I agree all the choices out there for hs can be overwelming. there are so many neat things out there! I havent used Oak Meadow, but I think some here do.
