I am scared to tell my mom...

...that I am pregnant. I dont know why. I just feel like I am sixteen and will be in trouble. Isnt that silly?

I am a 28 year old married woman with an almost 2 year old son and I am scared to tell my mom. What a loser I am!

aww, don't feel bad. when i was 14 i got to tell my mom's mom that my parents were going to have another baby. she was already 5 months along nd just scared to tell her mom.

I can totally relate!
I also feel like a loser I feel afraid to tell most of my immediate family.
For about 2 years we lived with my parents when my son was about 8 months till about 2 years of age. And of course I have a sister and brother in law who just bought a 500K house and have thier kids' college educations paid for. It's hard to live in their shadows even though I could care less about things like that. Stability I care about, but I don't need the huge house. Just a house in general would be nice lol!!!
So I felt very embarrassed when telling my parents I was pregnant back in June. So much in fact I left it up to my 4 year old to break the news. For about a week he told them that I had a baby in my uterus and that he was going to be a big brother. They didn't get it!! They thought he was kidding!!! Finally they did and they were happy although my dad jokingly said "Another one to babysit!" but I just had this awful feeling he meant it
Plus we have a family plan on our cell phones (my dad's idea) and I owe them about $100. So how dare we ttc #2!!!! LOL!!!
By the way I just turned 30, my son just turned 4. It's time. Home owners or not it's time.
By the way I'm sure they expect that we're ttc (or WERE ttc !!) so pregnancy shouldn't come as a shock or disappointment. I just have this feeling all the time that I'm being watched and judged. Moving back with the folks for any amount of time kind of crushes your ego no matter how nice people are to you.

Oh boy I can relate to this big time. I am 24, dh is 26, and we will both be a year older before this baby is due. Dh is still in college and we have been having trouble making ends meet these last few months as his job has slowed down a lot. He is actively looking for another job, but his mom has had to help us out a lot I know she is going to freak out. We are waiting as long as possible, and it helps that she is living overseas :LOL She freaked when we told her we were preggo with dd. She was NOT happy with us at all. She was the only one with that reaction, everyone else was overjoyed and said, its about time! So she has a history of this kind of thing :LOL Of course now she is head over heels for dd, so she does come around..... Anyhow, good luck Morgan

I know exactly how you feel! The first time was the worst, I was 19 and had just moved out of the house. My mom was ok with it but my dad flipped out. My grandparents said I ruined Christmas. It was only June. Then with my second, three years later it wasn't too bad. But I'm sure they were thinking, now she's never going back to school. Then another three years later with number three, they replied, "I thought you weren't having anymore." I still feel like I dissapointed them, they were never excited with my pregnancies.

What a bummer that so many of us feel this way! I'm to the point that I'm thinking of calling my mother after the delivery, except she'd probably be so furious I'd never hear the end of it!

I've told her I don't know how many times that we want a big family, well 4 children, and yet she is constantly fishing and trying to drag out of me if we are done or not. I know this isn't the best time, but I've used NFP for 10 years and this is the only time I've ever become pg unexpectedly.

It's just silly and I know that I'll try to never make my children feel like this!

I am 28, I've had 5 babies, it was so hard to tell her each time. I hope it gets easier next time...

I'm scared too. My mom and I are super close, but I'm worried about what she'll say. I know she thinks I have my hands full (and I do) with three. Who knows, though. She may be super great about it. I hope so.
