I'm probably leaning towards fitteds because I think they will be the most DH friendly (not to mention the ILs). I really don't want to use sposies anywhere. I know that I can handle CPFs...what are their advantages over fitteds other than price?
The diapering board is so overwhelming!

Ok well (this is my opinion) OC is much softer than hemp and hemp tends to have stink issues more often than OC, but I find hemp to be a bit more absorbant. We have lots of both because certain diapers are only made with one or the other some brands use both but are hard to get so I take whatever I can find (like El Bees). I love SOS (one of my favorites) but they are only hemp (for now). So if it comes down to a diaper that I love for the look and fit but it only comes in hemp its not really an issue for me.
I dont think there is an advantage to CPFs over fitteds other than price. I like both. CPFs took me a long time to learn to fold right and snappi right so that they worked for us. But now I really like them. I hand dyed all of ours and I love the way they came out. I put just a CPF on Maxi with no cover at home and it is just the cutest, most classic look!
At home we use mostly fitteds and wool (covers/soakers/longies and pants). We occasionally use CPFs as well. For preschool we use Wonderoos pocket diapers (because they are easier and I dont have to worry about my wool getting ruined there).
For the new baby here is what I have so far:
3 First Class Baby size 0 hemp fitteds
3 Little Caboose size 0 hemp fitteds
1 Kind Hearted Woman small hemp fitted (have an order for 5 more in)
4 small El Bee fitteds (3 OC, one hemp)
2 small Sugarpeas side snap (one OC, one hemp)
6 Muttaqin one size fitteds
18 hand dyed CPFs
18 OC newborn hand dyed contours (these were Maxi's)
12 OC small hand dyed contours (also Maxi's)
3 med. Little Lovies (hemp & cotton) these fit like smalls
1 small Aristocrats soaker
1 newborn Mosaic Moon soaker
1 small/med. Mosaic Moon soaker
1 newborn Little Caboose wool cover
1 small El Bee Wooly Bully wool cover
1 small Sugar Peas wool cover
5 newborn Proraps covers
4 newborn Bummis covers
4 small Bummis covers
2 newborn Bumpy night covers
1 pair small Wonderfull Woolies longies on order
1 newborn pair longies a friend is making
1 newborn soaker a friend is making
I still want to get some more covers/soakers/longies and 2 more small El Bees and some other fitteds in size small since I am pretty sure the newborns will be outgrown in just a few weeks.
