For all those who have eaten placenta or would with the future children, would you still eat the placenta if your child passed meconium while you were giving birth??

Another plancenta thread, eh?

Newborns, unless I am mistaken, do not have intestinal bacteria established. The meconium shouldn't matter. I'd rinse it but I plan on rinsing the plancenta anyway.

I voted that it depends because sometimes the presence of meconium means that other matters get pushed aside for a while, and I'm not going to eat a placenta if it has been sitting around for hours while my baby was being checked out.

That didn't occur to me. My dd passed right as she was being born. I only took 2 bites of placenta because I didn't like the taste, but I didn't think anything of the meconium. I sort of rinsed the placenta in the sink anyway.
