DS is 3yrs, 8months, and I've been thinking of making a Waldorf-style doll for him. I'm trying to move away from loud and/or plastic-ey toys into more imaginative and nurturing toys. DS is having trouble sleeping alone, too (we co-sleep, but we'd like DS to be able to sleep without having to be curled up with a parent for 10 hours) and I thought maybe a doll would be a good snuggler.
Before I invest the time, though, I was wondering if any of you have boys who are enjoying their dolls. I worry, too, that I've missed the "window" for DS to enjoy a doll and he's too old.
Thoughts?

. Anyway, I asked DS if he would like me to knit (quicker than a true Waldorf doll and less likely to upset me if it gets abandoned sooner rather than later) him a "boy" doll that he can snuggle with. He smiled and said that would be nice, so I guess I have my answer
