Skin colored interlock?

I'm hoping to make a family of Waldorf dolls for Mary for Christmas. I'm having a hard time finding skin colored interlock for less than 7.50 a yard. (plus shipping). I'm looking for golden and or peach.

Any ideas/resources? Thanks!!!

Can you take ivory interlock and tea-dye it to attain different complexions?

You could also use wool jersey and tea dye it, jersey tends to be less expensive

Has anyone tried tea-dyeing hemp jersey for different skin tones? I really want to try it for a doll for ds (right after I finish the 500 other projects I want to get to LOL)...

I appreciate all your replies! I got some white interlock and used Rit dye -- it worked FAB!!! Just some peach and it was perfect. I have four of the five dolls done, should be a fun holiday gift
