With my second, I didn't take anything-- I thought I was going in for a version. :LOL

I had them bring:

shampoo & conditioner (i had very long hair that was very dry, and the stuff they gave me in the hospital just wouldn't cut it)

toothpaste & toothbrush

pajamas

clothing for the trip home

granny panties (I had a c-section and take my word for it-- you DON'T want to wear bikini panties afterwards!!! : )

an outfit for the baby to come home in (she was fully two pounds smaller than I was expecting her to be )

body wash (soft and smooth and yummy!)

I stayed for 72 hours after the section; they asked me if I planned to stay an extra day but I was ready to go home. I loved it, though, they have *the best* veggie lasagna there, and I got my massage before I went home. It may not be club med where you live, but it's as close as I'm likely to get any time soon! :LOL

Hi there, I wanted to do a 12 hour early discharge, and DH talked me out of it. I am so glad that he did.
They took such great care of me there, I had 3 yummy meals a day, I could choose what I wanted from a huge list and it was all good.
I had a birthing center birth, then had to move up to the recovery floor with all the other mothers.
I am sure that we couldn't bring any electrical equipment at all.
A picture of your other children might be nice to give to you comfort/motivation.
A camera
phone card
nursing bras and pads
your own baby clothes

And I thought I was the only one that totally enjoyed my hospital stay! I honestly didn't want to leave when I did, it was soooooo nice. I could focus on just me and the baby while someone else cooked my meals and cleaned up after me. It was like me and DS just had this cozy little haven for ourselves. Enjoy it while it lasts!!!!
