which circ needles to get?

Thread Starter
for a beginner, who wants to try knitting in the round, to make wool soakers/shorts/longies.

i had a look at the www.ardithkeef.com website someone posted in another thread here, but look at all the choices - how do I know whether to get a 16" or 20" etc?

The pattern will usually recommend a size. If in doubt, go for the slightly shorter length. If the cord is too long you'll have to spend more time scrunching the sts around and pulling the cord through between sts.

Which pattern are you looking at?

The pattern will tell you which size to use.

A good set of needles to get is the Denise Interchangeable...it has lots of needle & cord sizes in one handy set.

I second the denise set. I absolutely *love* mine and it will end up saving quite a bit of money. Not to mention that it's nice having them all together like that.

I'm still searching for a pair of size 10 12 in circs though....grrrr....
