Cascade Ecological wool is chunky and super super soft

Cascade eco works up at worsted weight. the label says otherwise, but truly, it's not chunky, about 5 stitches to the inch on 8s.

What about this yarn?
is it a good deal and a good yarn?
Lambs pride on ebay
oh yeah..and tell me about Bartlett yarns. I was on their site and cant tell the differnce between their...fisherman, fisherman bulky and the homespun. which one is better?

You'll get good hand with the LP bulky. It has mohair in it, so you might want to pet a skein beofre you buy. And it will be soft after washing. The only bartletts I have worked is the fishermans (I think), but I don't find it to be very soft, and it pills horribly for me.

the fisherman's is worsted weight, the fisherman's bulky is the same yarn, but a bulky weight, and the homespun is *slubby* meaning it's not smooth, it's got thicker and thinner spots.

I've heard the same thing that Cass said about the eco, but I've never worked with it myself so can't say for sure.

Thanks Theresa. I did forget to say that I've used the eco. That always helps, eh?

As for chunky, a lot of the gals here are going mad over the chunky merino at www.handpaintedyarns.com . I think I will be trying some myself, in fact.

Additionally, all the "knitting and yarn" WAHMS carry chunky yarn of some sort.

Good luck on your search. and let us know what you find!
