Huh, good question.
Leigh, this is our day:
anytime between 7:30 and 11: wake up.
Nurse for 45-60 mins (yes, he is a slow eater).
Mama gets breakfast, T gets awake baby time in his Baby Björn chair, 1/2 hour.
Lie on the sheepskin with only a diaper on/tummy time, 1/2 hour.
2-3 hour nap. Mama gets lunch if she manages to put him down.
Either awake time or catnap.
Nurse. (watch Oprah. Oh my word, what is happening to me?!!)
Jo comes home usually while he is nursing or afterward, which is awake time.
Shortly before we want to eat dinner, Tristan needs to eat again and have a diaper change. Sometimes, if we're lucky and time things right, he gets the eating in before dinner and naps during dinner.
In the evening the M.O. is to snack every hour or less, have his diaper changed a number of times, and fall asleep around 10:30 or 11. Jo usually takes care of the evening feedings by bottle. After getting to sleep, he wakes up anytime between 2 and 4 to have a diaper change and to nurse, which takes 45-60 mins, and then he wakes up again in the morning and we start all over again...
As you can see Waldorf education has taken a firm hold on me
I stick to this rhythm every day because then we both know what to expect. We even managed to keep it on the weekend.
I ordered new diapers today, fluffy mail for me (and subsequently for Anna) this week! Whee!
Tristan is draped over Jo's shoulder, his eyes are falling shut... we found a cute outfit on clearance at Target yesterday, nice blue and red stripes! And we had a great time at the thrift store, too, buying him clothing that will embarrass him totally when he's older, like the white fuzzy outfit with blue satin ears and "flopsy bunnies" embroidered on the chest of it. Cute Gymboree plaid flannel baseball hat, though.
