Weird or normal for almost 6 year old?

My dd suddenly starting having periods of over-the- top hysterical behavior. First it was because she didn't want to go sit on the toilet after she was all tucked in. Then it started to spread to any time she had to poop. Worked through the "fear of having to sit too long on the toilet which is too close to the wall in the bathroom and we really should move it because she just can't stand it". Now we are into the "I just can't stand to pee every five minutes and you really should take me to a doctor" The peeing every five minutes starts the moment story time is over and sleep time has begun. She also is begging for a large diaper so she won't have to get up so much. It is clearly not a physical issue, because she is normal all day and also once she is asleep. We brought her old potty chair out and keep it in the bathroom so she doesn't have to freak out about going through the dark house to the bathroom anymore. Is all this normal??? I read some posts here that suggest at about this age, nighttime fears become manifest? Is that what this is? Just avoiding bedtime? Help urgently needed!!! She is really out of control!!!!

It sounds normal to me. My daughter somehow magically "catches a cold" at bed time. She gets stuffy, and coughs, and blah blah blah! Well being as I can't medicate her every night, I took her to the Drs at her request. She is fine. What we did was "bribery"...LOL. She wanted new earrings. So we told her if she could stay in bed everynight, after we tucked her in (teeth, potty, drink, story, kisses and hugs, sleep), for 2 weeks, she would get to pick out her earrings. So she did this to get the prize. Once she got the prize she got "sick" again at bedtime. But at 6 they understand, so I simply told her that wasnt going to work. She goes to bed like a champ now.
