I am write there with ya ! I have tried several things. For example, putting underwear on him and asking him every 15 min.-1/2 hour if he needed to go pottie, having him go bare bottom, and EVEN giving him a gummie bear everytime he went in the potty. In the end all he wants is to wear him diaper so that he doesn't have to stop playing to pee or poo. Ds totally gets it, he knows when he goes and understands everything and seems to have reasonable control, but still won't go. So...to make a short story long I need help too. I will be checking out this thread to see if there are any helpful responses.

DD was peepee trained just over 3, but didn't do poppy training until 3 1/2. It was a control issue for her. She wasn't going to poop in the potty and that was it. We finally just let her put a pullup on by herself when she needed it and left it at that. Finally one day she didn't put one on and DH caught her squatting. He got her on the potty and it just fell in. She was quite proud of herself. She got to call me, grandma, grandpa, everyone. Very exciting for her. She also asked right away for the present in the closet which I had tried to bribe her with months ago. She knew it was there.

I'd drop the issue completely for a few months and then tackle it again.
