sweet 'banana peppers' - need ideas

Thread Starter
I bought some sweet banana peppers at a farmer's market yesterday, and I can't think of anything to do with them except fry them up with an omlet.

Has anyone ever used them? Any ideas for making something yummy with them?

Do they taste like a green pepper?

Tastes great in chicken soup. Yummm...

Just cut them up and put them on a sandwich straight! They're not that "hot" and add a great crunch.

I would put them in pico de gallo with some mangos and cilantro and onions and tomatoes...and other peppers...yum

my italian mil, frys them in hot oil, then drains them. adds some tomato sauce to a little of the oil, and some fresh basil, some salt, maybe some garlic. cooks the sauce a few minutes and then adds the peppers back. it is delicious. but don't cook the peppers too long or they get very bitter.

I've used them to make chile rellenos. The peppers are stuffed with some cheese, beans, or whatever you want and then fried in an egg batter. You could do a search to find the recipe or I can dig it up if you are interested.
