15 month old DD with Breasts?

I am not sure where to post this topic but it is health related.

My DD is 15 months old. She has had what the peds are calling breast tissue since birth. At first they thought it was my hormones still in her and thought time would fit it. Then they thought it was the breast milk. Well now they want to look into it further. They want us to get an x-ray and uterine ultra sound to get a naturation index to ensure she is not developing too fast. I hope this is making sense. Basicly my DD has little breasts. She looks normal but to the touch you can feel the tissue. I have not heard of this before and I am not sure what to think. Anyone hear of it or been through this? The Ped made it sound like it was no big deal but wanted to do the x-ray and U/S “just to make sure”.

I have absoluytely no answer for you, but maybe you could post in the health and healing forum or life with a babe?
I wish you get reassuring answers quickly.

By any chance, did/do you eat a lot of soy products? This has been linked to very early onset of periods, breast tissue, etc. There was a really good article on this in Mothering a few months back. Good luck!

My middle child had boobies from the day she was born. At first we thought it was just fat and mlk and my hoirmones. And she was a skinny baby by the time she hit 6 months. Theyt were there until she was bout 2 and gradually she outgrew them. You can still feel firmer tissue below her skin but they aren't noticable to look at. Our Dr. said it was quite common and nothing to worry about.

And for the record I didn't eat a lot of soy or dairy while I was preg. She was overdue though and I always assumed that had somehting to do with it.

A friend of mine had this and their chiro found that it was water - she was drinking too much water and her body wasnt handling it. (like way too much)

Just another idea to throw out there.
