Dr Bronner's users, ? on rinsing

I'm in the process of converting to all natural home care. I have heard a lot of people like Dr. Bronner's products, but I have also heard that they can require what sounds like an awful lot of rinsing. What is your experience with this? If you dilute the soap, does it need as much rinsing? Does vinegar in the rinse water cut down how much you need to do?

I'm asking because i know I won't stick with it if it feels like way too much work, but I will if it's only a little more work.

I think the key is to dilute. Also, if you're using it to clean counters, cupboards, floors, etc, and you find you didn't dilute enough and can't get it to rinse well, a vinegar and water solution will cut through the residue.

I love Dr. B's and haven't had any rinsing troubles.

Same here. But, I'm a cheapskate and may just not be using enough for it to be an issue.

I dilute. Plus, I bought the book Clean House, Clean Planet. It has lots of recepies(sp) for making natural cleaning products. I use Dr.Bronners to make most of them. I especilly love the all-purpose cleaner. It works great and rinses easlily.

I use a teaspoon of the good doctor in a quart of warm water for general cleaning, and never rinse, only wipe well. I haven't had any "buildup" or anything. Also I have scrubbed my linoleum with it -- just a squirt in a small bucket of hot water -- and not rinsed, only wiped, no problems there either.

We do have soft water, though. I can see how water softness would make a big difference.
