Ideas for crafts using sheep's fleece?

On a whim I bought a sheep's pelt from a local farmer.

I thought I would enjoy spinning my own yarn, but it is far too time consuming to be practical (note to self, next time buy carded wool to spin LOL).

So now I have a garbage bag full of raw wool. I would love to do some crafts with the kids. Any ideas? I've dyed wool yarn using Koolaid, but does anyone have instructions on how to make felted toys? Any other suggestions?

How about felting? Needle felting would only really be appropriate for older kids because the needles are sharp, but hgere is a link: http://www.mielkesfarm.com/ladybug_dir.htm
Also, just tr6y a google search fior felting, there are tons of patterns out there.
