I am not one for unneeded intervention, so I feel funny asking about this. I guess I'm looking to hear if you think natural induction is valid in my case. Be honest.
So dh is unemployed this week. That doesn't sound bad, but his next gig only pays monthly, so our next paycheck is at the end of November, even though he will be working.
I am due on Friday the 29th. I'm measuring 40+ cm, my cervix is very soft and about 80% effaced. Not dialated as of last week. I'm having normal BH ctx, some crampy ones, but generally things are stable. Baby hasn't dropped too much but is lower than before. I don't think her head is fully engaged.
My husband has this entire week off and won't have any unpaid days available in his new job which starts on the 1st. I feel like I really need to have the baby this week because I want him around and the timing would be too perfect. He won't get time like this with her if she isn't born this week and I won't get him around to help/support/love on if it's not this week.
I have an appointment tomorrow (Monday) and part of me wants to have them do as much as possible to get things going. Is that wrong? We've been doing all the home stuff you are supposed to do to get labor started--no herbals or Castor oil, though.
What do you think?
Jesse
