foul smelling urine- food allergy?

we just started intro foods to 10mos ds- i've noticed last couple days some super foul smelling urine. (almost metallic!) although poo's have solidified per foods more (sniff sniff- gone is the popcorn-smelling seedy yellow's!) it has been looking pretty slimy-with the occasional green mucous. thoughts??? why the smell?

I don't know of any food allergy that causes that - but what is different is that your son's urine now has different minerals and chemicals which all leave the body through urine and poop when they aren't needed. My urine smells different depending on what I've eaten. SOmetimes it is very strong.

Also, he's getting used to the new foods so it may take a little while for his body to adjust.

Thanks for the reply. I think we found the culprit... while washing out a poo diaper- I FOUND A HERSHEY KISS WRAPPER! I wouldn't ahve recognized it but it was *fall festive colors* that my mom had bought the night before the smell started (we were visiting her house marveling ds's new walking). GUess he found the candy bowl-argh! My babe is smelling norm again too. Yikes!!!!
