Got some really bad news *updates: post #41 & post #46*

I am in shock. My biological dad called this morning to tell me that my sister passed away this morning. She was 20. Her fiance tried to wake her up this morning and she wasn't breathing. They called the paramedics, but she was already braindead when they got to the hospital. They are going to do an autopsy. She didn't do any drugs, had no health problems, I just don't understand how a 20-year-old can go to sleep one night & just not wake up. She has a 3-year-old son. I am grateful, though, that I got to spend a lot of time with her when Colby was being treated at Stanford (she lived near the hospital). She used to live in the same town as me (we met when we were 12 & 15) and we have always been really close. I can't believe she's gone.

I'm so sorry. Blessings to you, your family and her son.

I lost a good friend of mine that same sort of way over the summer-it's been so hard to get over the shock of it.

Hey...

Your post caught my eye and I read it. I am so sorry for your loss.

My sister died a long time ago and maybe I understand a bit of what you're going through at the moment. She was just in her twenties when she suffered a brief terminal illness.

No matter if you know it's comin' or not...it's still a shock, a loss and a sorrow.

My heart reaches out to you.

Joyce in the mts.
