A friend of mine who doesn't have children herself encouraged another new mama to NIP the other day. 
This new mama has a 6 week old DD and when out to eat with a group of ladies kept going into the bathroom to nurse her DD. My friend encouraged her to stay and nurse at the table and she did. My friend said that seeing me nurse DS wherever we are made her realize how ridiculous it is for someone to go into the bathroom to nurse, said she wouldn't want to eat in the bathroom so there is no reason the babe should either. 
It's kind of like vicariously leading by example, I'm glad I'm doing my little part to make NIP more common in this little town!
