I've been lurking around MDC for a few weeks and feel quite at home! I've finally managed to shoo my m/c fears away enough to join this due date club.. I'm nearly nine weeks along, e.d.d. is June 5th!
This is my second pregnancy, first ended in termination three years ago. I'm newly wed to Scott, my partner of two years, and I live in Fayetteville, AR, which I consider to be far more progressive than the rest of the state. There's even a midwifery school here that I hope to attend in a few years! However I am going to be giving birth in the local hospital this time around with a nurse-midwife who I willl (hopefully) be meeting for the first time next week, we're also going to try to hear the heartbeat then, wish me luck with that! I will find it very reassuring, but I'm trying not to count on hearing it.. don't want to be disappointed.
Anyhoo I'm super excited to be pregnant and glad to have found such a community of great women!!
