In the Nov-Dec issue of Mothering on pg. 43, is an article on Amamanta dolls. This woman from Colombia was pregnant, and wanted to explain the new arrival to her 3-year old daughter, using a regular doll. When her daughter asked her if she could make "a little brother for her mother doll", she created a family of dolls that were anatomically correct, with genitals, pubic hair, breasts that the baby doll latched onto, and a pregnant belly and birth canal that the baby doll came out of. She created several different families of different racial colors. She made a business out of them, and you can buy them from www.amamantafamily.com. I thought, "What a great idea!" So I went to the website, and how much is the price for a family of 5 - $179.00 for some, $199.00 for others!
Now, I realize that these are hand-crafted dolls and all, but $200? Wow!

LOL....they are a great idea, but I doubt I'll be spending $200 on something Brandon would just rip the hair out of anyhow...LOL!
