Spectrum Spread

I bought my first tub of Spectrum Spread, n I have a big question- why does it smell so terrible, like margarine, even when it's non-hydrogenated??

I had eaten margarine for years, then I read what's so bad abt it, n gave it up, n turned to butter. Then of course, it's also not as healthy n what if hormones in cow's milk, and we are trying to go dairy-free. then I heard abt Spectrum and dec'd to try it.

I was really overwhelmed by the smell, urgh! reminds me of margarine!

Anybody knows why?

I don't like the smell either. Try Earth Balance. It tastes great, smells a little better, and cooks as well as butter. Non hydrogenated too.

I picked up Spectrum Spread after seeing it on some talk show (about healthier eating). But it looked and smelled like it had gone bad, I tossed it and bought flax seed oil instead.
