Sister in law needs formula help

I want to start off by saying that i'm a big bf advocate and i still nurse my 2 year old on demand and he's never had a bottle. okay, but my SIL has decided she can't bf for whatever reason. but her baby girl has a problem with diary formula and it's looking like the soy one too. does anyone know what another alternative is? i really want to help my little niece out. if i lived closer i would just pump and give it to her. (always have had extra). i feel so sad about this.

Is her DD on a Lipil formula? With my son he absolutely could not handle the lipil formulas. I had to switch him to regular old Infamil with Iron. I was about ready to go with soy or a hypoallergenic but that worked perfectly for him.

she might want to check and make sure her daughter hasn't developed an allergy to soy. if so, as pricey as it is, ProSoBee is gonna be her best bet...or.........

she could also check into getting breastmilk from a milk bank. do a google search for breastmilk bank and a bunch of different sites come up with information on how to contact banks, etc. (try breastfeed.com). i'm not sure what the cost of something like that would be, though, but it's worth a look-see

pregestimil, i believe .. good for babies that spit up, bad for babies that get gas easy.

there's also an enfamil lactose-free, if your sil thinks the babe may be lactose intolerant.
