Good morning all,

Christy-gl with the loan, keep us posted
Sherri- so sorry to heara bout dh's finger, hopefully he can help you out anyway
Tammi-yay on the baby!!

Nothing much to report here I guess except DH is being a big fat **** right now. We haven't talked in almost 2 days Long story...

As for Branden, he's sleeping better again, too bad I haven't been feeling well so I'm not. I imagine the minute I do feel better and sleep better myself, Branden will decide he'll want to be up all night again

Hey did any of you have a chance to check out my photo contest? If you haven't here's the link
Branden's contest

Let me know what you think? Comments and/or suggestions appreciated.
Have a good day all

tammi~~

i have alot of running around to do today. FIL's DW saw a 5m/o at the store that was bigger than sage...she told the mama so, and the mama said that usually ppl tell her that her baby is small... Now I'm wondering what a ped in this area is going to think of us when her weight is below 25% for a one year old...I have no idea what she weighs, but i think i might put her in the produce scale at the market today :LOL and see what it is.

Dont worry about how much she weighs. She is happy and healthy, that's all that matters!
Off to see the babe!!!

Happy Birthday, Angelica!

Iris had a check up the other day... When they poked her finger to do the Iron levels, she just sat and stared, but when they put a band-aid on she burst into tears! She spent the next few minutes chewing at it and finally got it off... She is 26 lbs and 31" long! My kids are always big as babies...

I need these damn molars to just come in all ready. We have had 2 terrible nights in a row... Night before last was the worse night sleeping wise she's ever had! Ugh...

Jessica had her 1 yr check up Friday. She weighs 18 pounds 9 ounces - I was sure she weighed more than that! The doctor started her little worrying bit and almost suggested testing because she's on the low end of the stupid charts but I reminded her that Danielle had fallen off the charts by this time, I just grow them small.

Still no solo steps. She'll walk all over the place holding my hand, just one hand too, but she won't go on her own. If you let go she drops to her knees. She stands for a long time by herself, pulls up on anything and everything, she just doesn't know she can walk yet. That's fine, she'll go when she's ready. I have enough to chase after as it is, she can crawl for a while.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Jessica sure did. She had some turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potato and a roll. Those were all good, but you should have seen her when the pumpkin pie came out! Her eyes lit up (of course any time she sees food her eyes light up) and she made a bee line for me. She just LOVED it! I didn't give her much whipped cream, but the pie was a huge hit with her, until she made me dump my plate on the carpet anyway :LOL

Happy Birthday, Angelica!! : Hope she has a good one, Tammi!!! ( and hope that you do too )

Wow, Thanksgiving was exhausting. I am not makeing mashed potatoes for 15 next year : Peeling and chopping 10lbs of potatoes while Evan was pulling on my pants and whining was not fun. And don't get me started on how great it was to make 3 dozen deviled eggs

At least I now know what was making him so cranky a couple of days ago- not only does he have 2 molars poking up, but his bottom eye teeth as well. : He has been eating more solids the past couple of days too. I found out that he LOVES chicken stew- the spicier and the darker the roux, the better.

Wow, Sagewinna, Iris is a big girl I expect Evan to be about that size too. I will find out at his 1 year checkup on the 15th. He was wearing a 24mo outfit yesterday. I will post a link to the pictures later, when I can fuss with the pictures.

I'm going to get a tree today with the inlaws- we are getting a table top/small tree that the patate can't get to.

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving- I know that we all ate WAY too much. DS ate so much cornbread dressing and sweet potatoes and I thought that he was going to pop.
Anyone going shopping today? I know that I am staying as far from the stores as I can.
Shopping?! Are you kidding me?! I'm not leaving the safety of my house - no way, no chance! Dh had to go to town though to fix someone's computer, BIL went with him - to help carry the computer since dh can't lift with his busted finger. I feel sorry for him, people here drive like maniacs anyway, I can't imagine how bad it is today!

Happy Birthday Angelica!

We had a good Thanksgiving. It was just my parents coming over, so it was small and pretty relaxed. Katie was really tired, though, and had a major meltdown at the beginning of dinner. She wanted to try the cranberries (was desperate for them, really). I'm sure she thought they would taste very differently, and was really upset when they tasted like, well, cranberries. She started howling and would not eat anything else. I finally cajoled her to have one piece of pie. Emily, on the other hand had a little bit of everything. Boy, did her eyes get big when she tried the sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping!

We gave Emily a bottle of straight cow's milk a couple of days ago (I know, it's a couple weeks before her birthday, but she's been tolerating other dairy products really well). I was concerned she would not like the taste, but she is totally fine with it! This is a pretty big relief. I have started weaning myself from the pump. I'm down to two pumps a day now. Boy, has that made a difference in my time! I will probably go down to one pump in a week or so. Then we'll see how we do around her birthday. I am so looking forward to never pumping again! You can't even believe how easy it is to poor milk from a carton into a bottle!

Happy Birthday, Angelica!

Glad to hear everyone's Thanksgivings went well. We had a good time here although I pulled out my back carrying from the car in the pouring rain 22lb. Henry on one hip and 23.5lb turkey on the other. We have round one of Thanksgiving on Turkey Day and then round 2 tonight, so we end up needing that much turkey just so I have the hopes of a yummy turkey sandwich sometime this weekend. I have to make more mashed potatoes and my sweet potato casserole as everyone devoured those yesterday. My poor mom is the one getting stuck with the run to the store.

In any event, today has not been such a good day. We took Henry to have blood drawn for lead and allergies (given his prior suspected diary allergy as well as significant other allergies in my family and suspected food allergies in dh's family, we want to try to do as much as possible to prevent Henry from developing serious allergies). Well, this is a "real" blood draw from the crook of his arm. No finger pricking here. I had to basically restrain him in the chair while 2 techs tried to get blood out of his arm using the rubber thing around his upper arm and a butterfly pediatric needle. Unfortunately, it appears that my poor son inheritied my lousy veins (small/narrow and weak walled, so difficult to find and stick b/c they move around) and they missed on both arms. So he went through utter torture for about 15 minutes while they tried to take blood. I won't go into the gory details but if you've ever had blood taken and they were "searching" for the vein, you know what I'm talking about. He cried harder than he's ever cried in his life and I bawled afterwards as he nursed while trying to stop sobbing. It was awful. My poor baby. I don't know what we're going to do about this. Our insurance won't let us go to the hospital pediatric clinic (where they have phlebotomists that only take blood from babies and children and therefore know what the heck they're doing), so I have to try a different lab and hope for better results. I'm still shaking I'm so upset.

Anyway, I need to clean up some before dinner.
Oh, Amy! Your poor baby! I was really worried when I had to have Emily's pre-surgery blood draw. Even though it went really smoothly, it was still very hard to take.

Maybe you can call this other lab and ask them if they have a pediatric phlebotomist on staff? Or call the children's hospital and ask them how much a blood draw costs. If it's not very much, maybe you can just pay for them to do it, and not go through the insurance company.

I don't feel sorry for dh anymore. He told me he would be home by noon, he didn't show up until almost 3 because he was out running around with BIL Of course today Danielle chose to be an absolute BRAT, and Jesi has been having issues of her own, and of course Mikayla decided to irritate both of them making them cry and scream more so I was a frazzled mess by the time he got home. I'm still mad! I didn't even say hello. He took Danielle outside with him and Mikayla has been playing with the baby so I could work on my sewing (which just happens to be the quilt I am supposed to be making for Mikayla for Christmas) I've got to finish this quilt and get 2 matching ones done for Dani and Jesi and then I wanted to make one for dh with his favorite NASCAR drivers on it - don't know if I'll get to that one though since it's taken me so long to get going on this one. Mommy needs a clone or two.

Ok, whining done, back to the sewing table...

Tammi: How was Angelica's Birthday? I'm eager to see pictures!

Amy: Hun, that sounds like it was torture for you and for your babe. I would have been bawling too. I hope that the results are okay.

Bec: I'll bet you are happy to have so much more time on your hands!!! Glad to hear that she took to the milk well.

Sherri: Sorry to hear about your DH's finger- and I totally understand shy you aren't sympathetic anymore :LOL

Christy- Hope that the loan comes through.

Here are some photos of my patate on Thanksgiving, running around with the other big kids-

Anyone heard of the Toddler song by Sean Morey? It is HILARIOUS

Here are the lyrics( hope that I can do that...)

The Toddler Song - Sean Morey

They call me the toddler!
My goal? To kill myself!
They call me the toddler,
I'm a suicidal elf.
I jump on the bed, and fly off on my head
And you think I am dead.
I like to stick my tounge in electrical plugs!
I like to suck on rocks and little dead bugs!
I like to eat lose change a lot
Open my daiper you'll hit the jackpot!
I'm the teddy bear that gave you grey hair
I'm your toddler.

I'm a little monkey!
Pacifier junkie!
I love Cheerios!
They fit in my nose!
Peanut butter goes far into your VCR
Hahaha!
Nothing is safe 'cause I like to explore
Bonnie had a toy rocket in her drawer
Watch your mouth, 'cause I'm learning to talk
And I might tell Grandma to "F*** off!"
I'm the little tot
That you love a lot
I'm your toddler.

I am ticked off. Not one email yesterday to this thread!!!!

Amy, I am so sad for you and Henry. I'm getting chocked up just thinking about it. I cant even imagine having to be there!

Bec- Glad Emily likes milk!

Liz- Cute pictures and song.
Angelica made sure she was up when her birthday started (stayed awake till about 1:30am) and made sure she was awake when it was over (stayed up till about the same time this morning). We hung at Nana's most of the day. Went to Target where she picked out 2 baby dolls and had her picture taken at the studio there. Then back to my Mom's. DH insisted we stop at his Mom's. I knew it would suck and it did. I did suggest that he and Jonathan go alone but he got bitchy. She was miserable the whole time like I knew would happen. We didn't have a cake yesterday. She had one last saturday and her Godparents got her one on Thanksgiving. She did enjoy her first cake (from the party) the morning after for breakfast. I'll post some pics.
She has learned 2 new words. Last week was "more". She has said it 2x and yesterday was "up" 2x again and not since.
Going to see Santa at the mall today. Wish me luck

Cutey cute pics everyone!
Tammi, I'm sick right there with ya, think it's strep throat so I'm gonna go.
Hope everyone's having a wonderful weekend...

I got sick today! It totally sucks. I guess it's better than getting sick during the week when I have to take care of the kids by myself, but still, no fair! Wah!

I will take this time to give for Esberitox, though. That stuff has made like the last three colds I've gotten little more than sniffles for a day or so. It's this Echinacea and other stuff chewable that boosts the immune system. Awesome stuff, but a bit pricey. If you buy it OTC, it costs around $17 for a box of 100 (not very much when you consider that you have to take 9 a day. When you have the whole family taking it, a box doesn't last long). But I found it on Evitamins.com for $10 a box. I'm going to order some tonight.

Great pics, btw!

Hope you get better soon bec and stacy.
We got a tree today. My first fake one. Pre-lit. Jonathan was thrilled ofcoarse and Angelica likes to look at it. She keeps crawling over to it. I'll have to move the lower ornaments so she doesnt shake them in her hand.
