Can you guys see this? I added a pic of Meryem and her huge-little cousin from Thanksgiving.

our album

She had an awesome time. Played with G-ma's crazy cat, went after the old dog, and acted like a big girl! Exhausted herself.

She runs now, and seems to think it's funny to jump on the bed. She tries to pull her pants down when I use the toilet, and she tries to wipe her own bottom at diaper changes.

I can understand "brother," brother's actual name, mama, baba, baby, ball, book, hot, what's that?, and she signs "more" and "all done." She throws her head back and does an evil laugh. Her fourth tooth is almost through--so she'll soon have her tops and bottoms. Does not stop her from eating more or less whatever she likes. She loves to dance--has a few different moves, even--and she likes the clapping part of "Bingo." And she has nice hair.

I think I am going to upload the picture of her with cat, too. I wish I were not allergic. Both my kids love animals so much!

nak

Cute pics!!!!

jooj - Wow, she is already wiping her bottom?

Anyone else have trouble w/ diaper changes? It has become a wrestling match : He laughs and kicks ang tries to crawl/walk away. I dread when he poops- he tries to "help" and gets poo everywhere After his bath is the most trying. He squirms and runs away wet and nekkid and shrieking with delight :LOL it is cute but so infuriating.

Thanks for the hugs everyone. We certainly needed them.

The worst part is, they didn't actually get any blood drawn. They failed on both tries, so we have to try all over again in a few weeks. I've gotten some good advice from my cousin the pediatric nurse about where to go, so we'll try that. But they get one shot at getting the blood. If no luck, we'll try again some other time. I'm not putting him through 2 arms again. He has broken capillaries in his right arm from having the tourniquet thingy on for so long. Its awful.

Liz, BTW, loved that toddler song.

Have any of you listened to Philadelphia Chickens by Sandra Boynton? There are a couple of very appropriate toddler songs on there and its good kids music that you won't mind singing along to in the car. I especially the song Snuggle Puppy. I highly recommend it.

Henry is now clearly and consistently saying "Ma" or "Ma-Mum" when he wants me. He's also got a sound that sort of resembles balloon and he's identifying the balloon in Good Night, Moon. He also has a consistent phrasing for "what's that" although it in no way resembles "what's that" (or anything else in the English language for that matter). Other than that, no real words. On occasion, he says something that sounds like he's repeating something we've said, but then he doesn't say it again for weeks so it was probably just a fluke. He does baby sign nurse (to everyone but me :LOL -- me, he just yanks on my shirt) and sometimes "all done." We're working on "more," "book," and "ball." Oh, and he can climb out of the bathtub.

Heck no. She's pretending to wipe her bottom. My 3yo doesn't even wipe his bottom. I'm the designated wiper. At least dh does his own.

lol 1jooj!! cute pics.

sage loved thanksgiving. she had some really stinky poop afterward, lol. the dogs tore up our room while we were gone...they mostly chewed sage's toys to pieces. FIL was caring for them, and he said they were really good. apparently, he didnt come up to our room, he just let them out to potty. so i had about 4 tons of fluff to clean up when we got home.

on a happier note, i bought and wrapped some presents, the first time I have been able to do that in YEARS!! it feels good to have at least some money to do things with. I've also been getting stuff for sage's party. party planning is expensive, lol. and we ran around half of southern michigan looking for rubber duckies to use for the cake and punch bowl, lol.

Hey all,

I'm trying to get caught up around here, I've been really busy getting my photo contest and enhancement site up. Things are going great with it though!

Branden took 2 steps yesterday and stands by himself lots. He just gets so darn excited about it that he LUNGES instead of walks and then he falls, lol :LOL

Well, Sir Branden is now calling so I must go. Hope everyone is well!

Well, Both my kids are sick now with head colds. Lots of nose wiping around here. They aren't too miserable though.
Miss Angelica tried pushing her brother out of the way this morning to get to me. It was funny. :LOL

Can I gripe for a minute? Why, when I start a thread, does no one reply to it?! I posted a question in the GD and Childhood Years forums about my older child and only one person has responded! I know, at least in the GD forum they have been chatting all day! It just makes me crazy!

Sorry for ranting, thanks for letting me vent.

Thatt happens to me alot too. I know how you feel.

Especially on the GD forum (and I know it is against MDC rules to gripe about other forums, so I promise this will be the last one), it seems like if I'm not smacking my kid around, I'm not worth the time to reply to.

I didnt know that! I know its against the rules to gripe about other members!
I dont go in that one so I would have no idea about how nice they are or are not. Hope you find some answers.

I think it is a grey area. You're not supposed to talk negatively in a discussion about another discussion. It could be broadened to include the whole forum, I guess. I'm not swearing at anybody, so I think the mods will leave me alone, though.

copying/pasting from my IL diary...i dont feel like typing it again...

BIL called late this evening. MIL called him to tell him that SIL was in a very bad car accident. she was passing a car, swerved, and went into a tree. they had to use jaws of life to get her out. her arm is broken and she is in surgery now to try to fix her leg. apparently her leg is very badly broken. MIL never called us to tell us, she relied on BIL to do it. We are waiting to find out when she is supposed to come out of surgery. we have been waiting for over 2 hours. Its all very confusing and upsetting

Christy ~ keep us posted. I hope SIL comes through surgery alright. We'll add her to our prayers tonight Your MIL is a piece of work, isn't she? Now how difficult would it have been for her to call? This is dh's sister, right? How is he doing? I'm sure he's worried for him too.
