This has nothing to do with anything that anyone is talking about, but I have to share. I don't know if anyone listens to country music (please tell me I'm not the only one!) Anyway, there is a song that ALWAYS makes me look at my kids and laugh. It's called Mr. Mom, by Lonestar. It is about a guy who loses his job so his wife goes to work and he stays home with the kids. It's hilarious! Anyway, there is a line in the song that says "crayons go up one drawer higher" - well, with a toddler in the house, there always seems to be crayons on the floor somewhere, no matter how hard I try to keep them all picked up. I just aske her where her head was, and she started looking around the room for it!

And Sherri, yes, I think you are the only one that listens to country. What does it say, though, that I will let Emily keep hold of a piece of chalk if it is keeping her quiet.

We've had some terrible nights here lately too. Emily has not been willing to be put down in the crib the last three days. And she's been taking crap naps (can I say that?) :ignore

Oh, and has anybody else been having massive separation anxiety? Emily screamed for a solid hour when I went to a chiropracter's appointment the other day (from all the carrying of children ). And I left her with dh! She usually is just fine with him (if no one else). I'm getting pretty burned out.

Me me!!! I had a meeting this morning that was only about 45 minutes, so I was gone for an hour. DH was beside himself when I got home- Evan was a terror while I was gone. This was the longest I have left him in 2-3 weeks!!! All day today he has to be in my arms or on the boob ( where he is now) *sigh*

I could really use a "girl's night out". I feel my evil twin wanting to come out and play

Oh heavens yes! I don't go anywhere - EVER - but I can't even leve the room without her having a meltdown! Trying to cook and clean has really become a challenge. It is especially bad when I am putting laundry away because I am going from room to room, and there she is crawling after me screaming the second I get out of her sight. I've stopped trying to go to the bathroom - I have to either take her with me, or wait for the off chance taht she'll go to sleep. Naps have been pretty non existent, but definitely needed! Today I was at my wits end, I knew she was tired but she wouldn't nurse so I laid down with her and held her while she cried, then she finally went to sleep. She woke up after about 20 minutes, I said "no freakin' way" and popped a boob in her mouth and she went back to sleep. It's been almost an hour now - I'm hoping for another hour at least :

And I can't help the country music thing - that's all my mom ever listened to while I was growing up - it was programmed into me :LOL

I am the "evil twin". Says my sister anyway....

Angelica is like that a lot too. If She is at home with Daddy and I got out to the store she is usually okay, sometimes not. But if we're at his mom's (for example) and I got out she flips out.

Well I seem to be having computer problems that I can't fix. I can't get my website to work properly so I can't upload photos. I blame my dh. He does strange things to my computer every time I leave him alone with it. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out tonight.

Anyway ... its been at least 2 months since I've been able to go to the bathroom alone, walk out of a room, leave the bed in the middle of the night, etc. w/o Henry freaking out completely. I'll be SO ready for separation anxiety to stop. I need a serious break b/c I'm about to lose my mind!

Rough nights and bad napping here, too. Will he ever sleep through the night? Will he ever sleep 6 hours straight again? I've been having bad mommy thoughts of nightweaning (no flames, please) after Jan. 1. I just don't know how much longer I can cope with sleep deprivation. I'm hoping that if he starts eating more solids he won't need so much bm all night, but that ain't working so far -- basically b/c he won't eat more. He's gotten VERY picky and I'm having a hard time getting him to eat much of anything. I know its probably teething related, but I'm running out of ideas regarding what to feed him. He dislikes so much. I was hoping to get an eater like me (totally not picky), but instead I got a mini-dh. Its driving me crazy!

Iris had seperation anxiety from 7-10 months... As soon as she could crawl, she stopped freaking everytime I left the room.

She knows where her nose and her feet are, so far.

Sage has been ok lately with separation. she would rather be held than put down, and I don't think she cares who holds her, lol. she was trying to get the realtor to pick her up today, lol. I have a funny kid.

Sleeping has been ok. her naps are still crappy, but night time is alright, as long as she goes to sleep. It seems to take forever for her to actually fall asleep, then she only wakes 3-6 times a night, (only ).

i went house hunting today by myself, then i called a realtor who came over and gave me some fliers for some more houses. I'm going to go hunting again tomorrow. I like alot of what I have seen. I'm optimistic about finding a fixer-upper at a cheap price. Step-MIL says, "don't rush, you dont want to jump into the first house you find..." but I dont want to inconvenience them anymore than we already are. They say they dont mind, but that's the same thing I told MIL and SIL when they were staying with us in FL, and they were totally inconveiniencing us, as you all know I'm just saying, I don't want to overstay my welcome, ya know.

wish me luck....I'd really like to be moved out of here by the 1st of the year at the latest.

One whole step. She was so proud of herself.

She also grabbed a prefold and a sweater while I was changing her and did peek-a-boo with them. We've played before but it was me had my eyes or beside a chair or something. She liked doing it too. Did it like 10 times.

You didn't miss something. I was going to post more about it last night but it hurt too darn much. I was making a lasagne last night and had put some oil in the pan to start sauting some onions for my sauce. I left it on too long and it started smoking so I transferred the oil into a small pyrex bowl and started over. Well, stupid me , put the pyrex bowl on my cutting board. When it was time to put the onions in the pan I went to move the bowl forgetting it had hot oil in it and put my index and middle fingers of my right hand (my dominant hand) up to my middle knuckle directly into the bowl of oil. OUCH!!! I swear, contractions were much less painful. I couldn't take my hands out of cold water for hours and now they're very red and blistered. On his way home from work, DH went to the store and got me some lidocaine burn ointment which helped immensely, so by the time I went to bed it wasn't so bad. But it still hurts to put my hands anywhere near anything warm/hot, making my shower, handwashing, and other cooking difficult. But somehow I still put my lasagne together one-handed last night. And it was very tasty I might add.

Still can't get the computer to work right so I still can't upload pics. I'm gonna have to burn the pics to a CD and use the old computer to update the website, as annoying as that will be.

Gotta run and check on baby. He's been taking a nap for over an hour now -- and he slept 13 hours last night (he woke up a bunch of times, though). Hope he's not getting sick. I wanted to get his pictures taken today for his b-day ...

amy, so sorry about the burn. sounds awful.

thanks for the clue about the boards going down. i hadn't read the announcement either. we're going on our first airplane trip with the girls this weekend (2 one hour to 1/5hr legs with a 1 hr layover btwn) to visit friends, so i won't be missing the boards too much anyway. i'm a little nervous. dd1 is an excellent traveler, though, so not too worried about her (except strange potties). not so sure how dd2 will do, but i'm cautiously optimistic.

Awww, you poor thing I hope you're feeling better now. Burns are a b****! I've had my share and know how much that hurts!!

Hey, listen to this, I got to go grocery shopping today ALL BY MYSELF!!! Can you believe it? :LOL I still can't! It was so nice to take my time and not have anyone else throwing unwanted things into the cart....I even got to go do a little xmas shopping too! And, it was so nice to come home to Bran's big huge smile and slobbery kisses I missed him like crazy since he's always attached to me wherever I go but I have to admit, it was nice to have some alone time Right now, he's playing in the backroom with his sis, laughing hysterically at whatever is happening on Baby Einstein! Too cute, music to my ears

Hooray for Angelica btw Boy these kids of ours are growing up way too fast

OT but, my older 2 kids started at a catholic school the other day and things are going really well, I couldn't be happier really. This school is more than willing to work with us and my stepson who's got ADHD, unlike the other school which couldn't have been bothered. I hope things stay as good as they have been the last few days....
