ITA! When I realized every other email was a "testimonial" on her fantastic products, I unsubscribed. I downloaded a freeware calendar that I've programed to alert me on certain days and times. It pops up on the computer, I hit "OK" and go do whatever it's reminding me. It works great, only took a few minutes to set up- and NO SPAM!
(I also cheated and wrote my grandmother, who has an ostritch farm. She sent me loads of feathers and I made my own FREE dusters using them, some twine, and an old wooden broom handle for one and a plunger handle for the other. Then I realized microfiber cloths are SO much better for dusting, and I can pop it in the wash when it gets too dirty.)
Also, it's embarassing to admit this, but I like the Queen of Clean (Linda Cobb) better than FlyLady.
: She's chipper and a domestic goddess, but she advocates using natural products like baking soda, lemon juice, borax, etc. I used her instructions for cleaning my tub with vinegar, borax, and drywall sandpaper, and I've never seen it so pretty and sparkly. She's got a few books out as well, but I read her stuff on the DIY Network's website or watch her TV show on the same channel.
