Read this to your daughter!

Not to be sexist in my title, but this book really does appeal to girls more than boys. I read it to my almost 6-yr.old and she adored it.

It's by Ann M. Martin and it is called "The Doll People." It's about a family of old-fashioned dolls who have belonged to the same family for three generations, and come alive when the humans are not around. When another doll family joins the household, this one modern and made of plastic, really interesting things happen, including the search for a doll that has been missing for forty-five years.

Totally adorable, and will have your daughter looking really differently at the way she plays with her dollhouse!

I used to have nightmares about my dolls coming alive! I'll have to look for this book, however.
