my name is arlene I'm due dec. 14 w/ #4 w/ a girl and I was wondering is there anyone else experience this while pg, I been getting a throbbing pain in my lower back that moves up my spine and hurts for a minute or two and then stops? only happens here and there, should I be concerned?

Hi Arlene. I've had other pains like that but not in the same place. Maybe baby is hitting a nerve occasionally that's causing this? If you have a midwife or doc maybe they would know more about it. For me it happens more in the hips and tailbone.

Arlene. I have sharp shooting pains sometimes, but they're in my buttcheeks- ahhhh, love that sciatic nerve! I'd tend to agree with Lauren that it's probably a nerve thing.

Yep... I agree, too. I have sciatic pains every now and then and lately I have been having shooting pains in my right hip. Ahhhh, the joys of late pregnancy!
