Still missing her after all these years

My mother committed suicide when I was 6 years old. The anniversary is coming up soon and I'm having a hard time coping this year. The past few years haven't been too bad, but with all the problems I'm having in my marriage and the fact that I have a baby on the way just makes me really wish she were hear so I could talk to her about everything.

I wish I could hear about when she was pregnant with me from her...not my dad or my grandmother. I wish I could just talk to her.

I am so sorry. It seems as though when we have milestones in our lives, the pain can really return.

In the FYT forum, there is a thread about "Mom's without Mother's" (I think that is the title). Everyone there has lost their mom's at various ages, illnesses, accidents and suicide. It has been very healing for me to hear other's stories.

Also, there is a book called "Motherless Daughters" that is also quite good.
