Okay, ladies - congrats to Ekatherina on her boy (let us know his name and birth measurements when you can, E) and speedy labour vibes to our last three much-loved pregnant mamas! We're all rooting for you!

hey, piglet....no big deal, but you gave me a lightweight....ella was actually 9 lbs 13 oz....:LOL

Hey Piglet - Thanks for our own thread!! Still here, still pregnant. I feel like the babe's head is between my knees. All of my girlie parts are tender and swollen, so I'm hoping babe really is lower. Had some pinky mucus on the tp this morning. I have a biophysical profile in an hour and then an appt with my mw. Wish me luck that things are a-ok. Might try the castor oil cocktail tonight. We'll see.

Same here...just waiting and starting to obsess just a little about this baby never being born!!
Supposed to go for a non stress test today or tomorrow-never had one-what's the big deal and why do they do them?? My m/w is supposed to call me later to talk to me more about it.
I never thought I'd ask for her to strip my membranes but I'm seriously thinking about it now...we tried sex, nipple stim, walks, and even a bumpy car ride (not on purpose) LOL over the last week and nothing is working so obviously this baby is not ready but it's starting to worry me just a little. Mainly because I don't have an established dr here and my m/w is not covered by my insurance so if all goes haywire and I end up in the hosp I'm going to be subject to the "on-call" dr which is usually a nightmare and no one will be my "backup" ya know? Unfortunately my m/w is not very welcome at the local hospital either since she's a LM and not a CNMW...PLEASE BABY-just come soon!
OK, done venting...
Hope someone has some good news soon!
Ekatherina had her baby too if you didn't see the other thread!!

The ultrasound this morning was rather uneventful. Baby is way low. the tech couldn't even get any portion of the face, just the back of the head. Baby is measuring fine, placenta is a-ok, plenty of fluid. Based on their measurements (which I know are really off at the end) estimate the babe to be 7lbs 15 oz and 38 weeks gestation, but I know my dates and at the least I am just 8 days late or by my last u/s, 12 days late. My mw agrees with me. She was there for the u/s and made sure she asked the tech first hand everything that she needed to know. And I think I may know the gender. I'll spill it here since I don't want DH to know that I might even know. The tech was trying to get a good look at the placenta and placement of the umbilical cord and he had already pointed out that what we were seeing was the tailbone and backs of babes legs. And then there in plane view was what I believe to be a nice round scrotum. He quickly turned the monitor around and typed something and then whispered ( like I couldn't hear him, he was 1 1/2 ft from me ) that the annotation won't be on the prints that she gets. So my hunch is boy and given the weight estimate by both u/s and my mw (she predicts a birth weight of 8lbs 4 oz), Aidan was 8 lbs and Fiona was a lightweight at 6 lbs 110z. So just based on that alone, I would say boy. So we'll see. Anyway, I went back to my mw's office after the u/s and she checked me again and I am now 3 cm dilated, completely effaced, with a very responsive cervix, meaning that she could stretch it easily to 4 and each time she did the baby and bag of waters would push slightly down on the cervix. I'm having contractions again from the sweeping she did, about 5 minutes apart, some tougher than others, definitely stronger than the ones after her initial sweep. If nothing happens by Wednesday then I'll do the castor oil trick on thursday. I figured I've waited this long, I *can* wait a little longer. And seeing how my cervix is dilating on its own without any real contractions, I'd rather get as far along as I can, as painless as possible!

Well that's the scoop on me. Congrats to Ekaterina on your little boy!!!

Hey Susan. Beth met me at the ER last night for some pre-term labor and said she had a mom that would be really upset if anybody had their baby before her.

I wondered if it was you. Hope your little one makes "HIS" arrival soon.
Yes Amanda - that would be me! I told Beth that she is forbidden to have any other clients go before me! lol. I sent you a pm.

Had the non stress test and all is well. Supposed to have an u/s on Wed to check the amniotic fluid. Have a m/w appt on 9am on Wed and she's going to sweep my membranes if needed...at this rate it will be! And if that doesn't work then we'll go to the dreaded castor oil on Friday. Time is starting to be of the essence since I can't deliver past 42 wks at the birth ctr because of her liability insurance I'm guessing. I DO NOT want to go to the hosp so need get this baby out this week!

So sloowww here-does that mean Flitters and Soogie are busy?? Hope so since I'm not!

Hope you mamas are all enjoying your babes...someday I "may" join you in the "Life with a babe" If this baby ever decides to come out!

41 weeks 3 days

hi!

congratulations ekatarina!!!

still pregnant here! doing well though.

pretty good contraction as i type.

things seem to be progressing here finally.

lost a good chunk of (very bloody) mucous plug yesterday morning.
then all last night woke 2 or 3 times an hour to a good strong contraction with menstrual-like cramping.
more light pink and clear mucous today.
we're getting excited that something is happening, even if it's still the early stages.
i think dh is looking forward to setting up the aquadoula today.

our NST's (we've had 2 now) were great. super active, happy, healthy baby. i have plenty of fluid. my blood pressure and everything continue to be fine.

things have mellowed out a bit since i've been up and about today, but hopefully tonight they'll really happen.

hugs to everyone! labor vibes to ann and soogie!!!

ooooh, a second contraction now as i finish typing!
i've still got quite a long way to go before i really am in active labor i think, but at least i feel progress!!!

I had the strangest dream last night!! I dreamed that I gave birth to Ann's baby for her. Or was it Soogie? I think it was both of you in one person LOL. FOr some reason you were having trouble with the birth, so the baby magically was transformed into my belly, and I had the baby for you. :LOL It was only about 6lbs so I was quite pleased, the baby came out even easier than Lillian and with almost no pain.
:LOL Cute dream Amy

Well flitters I really hope this is it for you! Wishing you a happy and healthy birth

And Susan hasn't been around yet... wonder if it means that there has been labour progress. Her last post sounded very promising.

Ann. If I remember correctly your little babe has had a hanckering for the drama from pretty early on. I think he/she is just waiting to be the last one so that she/he can maximize the dramatic entrance. Hang in there, not much longer.

Just a quickie note to let you know that Duncan ______ (stillhaven't decided on middle name) Lynch was born on 8:24am. He weighs in at 8lbs 9 oz 20 inches long....and one hell of a delivery, but I'll write out the gory details at some later point after I can digest them. It was a tough one, but he is well worth it. I'll post a pic later.
Congratulations Susan!! So happy for you and Duncan

Hope this is it for you too Flitters! Wishing you luck!

Supposed to have my membranes stripped on Thurs at 6pm if this babe doesn't make an appearance before hand! Then castor oil starts Fri am if the first thing doesn't kick in...yuck. Please baby!

Take care
Ann
